In the pool with Liz Weekes

Liz Weekes, Australian Water Polo Gold medal winning goalkeeper, is a special talent.

Liz took up Water Polo in high school when her team needed a goal keeper. Being a water baby, Liz took to it immediately, fell in love with the game, and has never looked back.

At present, Liz is taking it easy after her gold medal winning performance in Sydney, and will resume training soon. She's enjoying the success of her hard work but it was all only made possible through some even harder ground work back in 1997.

Liz and her teammates successfully lobbied the IOC for the inclusion of women's water polo in the Olympic program in Sydney 2000. Liz reckons its' one of the hardest things she's ever done, but it was well worth it in the end.

When Liz isn't keeping balls out of the net, she enjoys modelling, and has featured in several glamorous photo shoots, and was even voted the world's sexiest female athlete by members of the press.

'I enjoy that side of things, it's a nice change from seeing swimmers with wet hair and no makeup and I'm really happy with the results'

After hundreds of attempts ET finally
sneaks one past Liz into the back of the net.

Final score :
Liz - hundreds
ET - 1
