GPS Tracking - Borumba Dam This is Borumba Dam, a scenic stretch of water just bursting with Australian bass. Now, when you're fishing impoundments like this, the best bet is to head for trees in the arms that feed into the lake. And remember always keep your eye on the water.. to watch for submerged trees as you weave your way through. This is the LCX-15MT. The MT stands for Monochrome Transflective display, which means better resolution and detail, even in direct sunlight. To look after your engine when you're cruising around heavy structure, lower your speed, keep to the channels, and it might pay to consider a stainless steel prop. Now we're amongst the timber, let's test that theory of mine I've got a bit of a thing for soft plastics. I'm using a squidgy .and, it seems, the bass are partial to them too.. Australian bass are great sport on light tackle.. anyway, back he goes.. One of the best times for bass is late afternoon, but travelling back in the dark might pose a few problems. But rather than leave early and miss out on that hot bit, your GPS can help you find your way home, even in the dark. Believe me, the GPS system on this sounder is simplicity itself To use GPS to navigate at night you simply follow the path on screen with your cursor .all the way home. It's as easy as that. Sounds obvious, I know, but always carry a good spotlight with you as well. Running into trees won't just be bad for your boat. Falling branches won't do your head much good, either. Well, back
safe and sound
.. And after an enjoyable day on the water it's time to check out the camp oven. For more information about the LCX-15MT Sounder - or to track down your local Lowrance dealer, log onto their website. Our trailcraft boat was powered by an 80hp 4 stroke Yamaha outboard. To find out
