Rotorua Freefall Rotorua is known for its bubbling mud pools, thermal hot springs and pungent aroma. Today I'm off to a day spa to check out a couple of the more unusual treatments on offer. But before I do - lets have a closer look at the raw ingredients. This is called Hell's Gate, and it's easy to see why. Stinking steam, and boiling mud bubbling like porridge This whole area sits in the crater of an ancient volcano. Despite the sulphurous whiff, Rotorua has become spa central. You just throw yourself into the vertical wind tunnel, and it's suddenly like skydiving just a few metres off the ground! It really is well, a breeze. The 12 metre wide giant air cushion makes sure you have a soft landing..And I've got a net above me to keep me drifting off into the wide blue yonder. But experienced freefallers actually perform some pretty tricky maneouvres Freefall Xtreme
