"Whether I'm out on the blue water chasing
Marlin, or on the lookout for the magnificent
rainbow trout, my Mako polarised sunglasses
are an essential piece of my fishing equipment.
Not only is it easier to catch more fish
when you can see them better, they also
protect my eyes from the sun damage and
the harsh conditions. What's more there
is a Mako polarised lens solution for
every fishing environment. Durable,comfortable
and effective.
I've chosen to promote the best. It's
only Mako for me."

Polarised sunglasses offer eye protection
and make it easier to see the fish in the
water.
The eye protection takes on two forms - the
physical protection from getting a hook
or lure in the eye, but most importantly
by reducing the glare coming off the water
which enables you to see through the water
to where the fish are.
Mako sunglasses offer a polarised superior
lens system which provides you with exceptional
performance for all types of fishing. The
lens system is designed to provide you
with superb high quality contrast resolution
and clear precise vision under a wide range
of difficult lighting conditions.
Lenses are available in glass, polycarbonate
and a new material - NXT ®
But what do anglers do when they need
polarisation to see in the water, but the
sun has gone behind the clouds? Mako Glass Polarised Photochromatic lenses
or Mako NXT ® Polar Varia ® Photochromatic
Lenses are the answer. This lens changes
shade to adjust to the level of light.
The benefit of polarised photochromatic
lenses is sharp, clear, distortion free
images especially in changing conditions
like clouds, rain, haze, dawn and dusk.
Lens Colour choice
In many respects choosing the right lens
colour for the type of fishing you will
be doing is critical.
Grey/smoke lens that is neutral
and offers contrast with minimised colour
distortion. This is the only tint that
doesn't affect colour. Good for sunny and
bright days including off shore fishing.
Allows excellent vision in deep water.
Brown lens that increases
the contrast and is suitable for hazy,
cloudy and rainy conditions including freshwater
fishing. This brown polarised glass lens
increases contrast, is chemically toughened,
durable, and has high scratch resistance.
Recommended for hazy overcast conditions
and freshwater fishing
Copper A high contrast tint
which absorbs blue light which in turn
enhances contrast making it good for sight
fishing.Also recommended for saltwater
flats fishing. A very good all-round tint.
Rose lens offer good contrast
for object viewed against blue or green
backgrounds and low light conditions.
Mirror finishes
Mirror coatings reflect the light rays
that are emitted from surfaces such as
water hence making the lens darker than
an average non mirrored lens.
Frame comfort
Whilst the lens choice is paramount to
your selection of sunglass, the frame must
be comfortable, fit well and be durable.
Frames should be as unobtrusive as possible
with minimum blind spots. Mako offers a
great range of models and material types
to choose from .including Monel metal which
is highly resistant to corrosion from saltwater,
injected plastic polymide material which
is durable, lightweight and flexible as
well as having low allergy properties and
Grilamid a thermoplastic material which
is extremely strong , almost unbreakable,
very light weight and flexible
